Put forward higher requirements for independent study high school students’ interestin learning emphasized in the new curriculum standards, interest is to improve students’curiosity and improve the level of effort is an important factor, plays a critical role in students’learning process, if improve students’ interest in teaching, and give full play to the initiative ofthe students will achieve a multiplier effect. In this paper, the new curriculum reform "How toimprove students ’geographical’ interest in learning" aspects of the study through aquestionnaire, analysis of the status quo of high school students interested in geography, anddetailed analysis of factors affecting high school students interested in geography, proposed topromote high school students improve the recommendations of geographical interest.Geographic interest in learning high school students are generally not high time forstudents to learn geography interested in small-scale survey that began with this question awide range of surveys and studies. For high school students to learn the geographical interestfrom the new curriculum reform on student interest in the concern, to be able to providetheoretical support for the reforms advocated by the new lesson to learn, is also conducive tothe smooth progress of the new curriculum reform.The questionnaire of Henan Province Xichuan county’s three high school highschool students, mainly in five aspects were investigated: the particularity of high schoolgeography; the overall quality of teachers; students ’own reasons; teachers’ classroom teachingmethods and the preferences of the students’ overall impression of the geography teachers.Through the analysis to find out problems, and put forward some improve geographic study interest measures: the first is deep grasp the teaching material, break theroutine, adjust the teaching material order. From the analysis on the characteristics of the highstudent, to help students adjust. The third is teachers’ change. The fourth is teaching theprocess and the method of the change. Among them the teaching process and the change ofthe methods include: the utilization many kinds of teaching methods; Using the flexiblehumorous language, arousing students’ interest in learning; Positive feedback, and tostrengthen the goal, encourage students to think for themselves.The main innovation lies in this article based on the new curriculum reform of aftergeography teaching, teaching material will be as a analysis the key content, encourageteachers to break through to the teaching material, teaching materials should not be limited by,high school setting on the content of the material in the present stage of high school students,it is not reasonable setting. This is also the scholars not paid attention to before.This paper studies show that the learning interest of the students’ study process has avery important role, through the laser. Send the student to study the interest can greatlyimprove the learning results. Due to the limited scope of investigation, so the conclusion haslimitations, especially for the adjustment of the teaching material to how to adjust, andbecause there is no test, so there is no specific adjustment scheme. For teachers’ change notgive a concrete proposal, because different teacher actual situation is a big difference,questionnaire survey to limited to the students, not to teacher questionnaire survey, also is oneof the paper’s major defects, the research also needs to be added.
