Under such background, the unification of educational outline, outmoded teaching methods have not met the need of new era. Study field was set in The New Standard, among which RE and Health was set as one branch. Latest reformation of RE education has been set out at2000, which bring new challenge for the professors and teachers in this field. This standard ask students to know at least two skill and strategic of sports during junior high school period. The guide team of RE education and heath of Shanxi province formulate the Guide of Shanxi High School RE and Heath Education, in which asked popularize credit system, obligatory course, as well as elective course.Basketball is one of the most popular sports, which sets as one of the first reformation projiects. As it has its own advantage that can improve ability of perseverance, team spirit and communication. More over it can enhance ability of psychological heath and social adaptability. So it can help students develop in all around way quickly. In this thesis, writer used multiple method such as literature, questionnaire, interviewing, statistics etc to study the current situation of RE education since new reformation. On the basis of predecessors, to study basketball education situation, teachers and students relationship, main idea of such reformation, so that can make new conclusion and teaching method, at mean while, to draw out some theory.The results of this research as fellow:Only4schools have set the basketball course.The age of basketball coach in school is fit. However, teachers are still in need, teaching ability shortage, who still use outmoded teaching method.The course content of instruction was arranged reasonably, but lake something new.Teaching objectives was focused on match tactics and rising interesting, which embodied the request of New Standard. But the teaching process was too dull to improve play skills.The evaluation system of teacher was simple, which only used by mutual-evaluation and professional evaluation.The examination system for students only spent on skill, physical fitness, class presentation, which lacked of mutual-evaluation between students themselves and self-evaluation.The course was still existed coeducation, in which teacher only design one mode to conduct, neglected the different between sex diversity that make the difficult to face particular case when on class. According to such condition, made some suggestions as fellow:Pay more attention on training by net, selecting typical model, arranging example, so that can ensure training extensively and covering all round.Using experience to design multi-methods class, especially to add games related with practice to make class vividly.Combine traditional methods with modern to reach better effective.Use various methods to check teachers’ level such as mutual-evaluation, self-estimate, students’grade.Use diversified forms to exam like self-estimate and classmates’grade.
