Problem solving is an important aspect of mathematical teaching,an eternal theme of mathematical learning and a field of mathematics which is quite concerned with by many teachers and students. Reflection is a synonym of "cognition of cognition", and a more deep understanding of the ego. Reflection of problem solving is an effective way to cultivate the student’s ideation and improve the students’ intelligence level,and it’s also an important characteristic to embody students’learning ability,but it’s just a weaker link in practical teaching. Reflection, the significant step in the process of problem solving, is even easy to be neglected or formalized. How to permeate the thought of reflection and learn the method of reflection in the process of problem solving is still an important trend to implement effective teaching in the current teaching of mathematics. Based on the research of the literatures relevant to the reflection of solving mathematics problem at all times and in all lands,and taking the method of observation and study, and case interview, this paper investigated the reflection of solving middle school mathematics problem by the observation of reflection of problem solving in junior middle school classroom teaching and the research of the cases of high school students’reflection of problem solving. Moreover, the existent insufficiency of the reflection of solving middle school mathematics problem was found from the angles of teacher and student. By the observation of reflection of problem solving in junior middle school classroom teaching, this paper firstly investigated how reflection of problem solving is performed by two different teachers in classroom, and then pointed out the advantages that many teachers have in the reflection of solving mathematics problem:lack of the Imparting of problem solving strategies and the display of thinking method of solving problems, superficial reflection content, and the neglect of students’ subject status.On research of the cases of high school students’ reflection of problem solving, this paper mainly studied the situation and characteristic of students of different grades from every side,and explored the student’s reflection of problem solving from the angles of mentality and mathematical thought and method.It also established a series of conversion strategies and pointed out the existent insufficiency of the student’s reflection of solving mathematics problem:lack of the reflection of the basic knowledge, examining question, divergent thinking method of solving problems and the habit of learning mathematics, mind-set problem.Research conclusions:1. It can raise classroom teaching efficiency and train the student t into a habit of good learning that teachers strengthen the reflection of solving mathematics problem.2. It can help oneself to gain new knowledge, raise resultant ability and even more important, cultivate thinking ability and enhance IQ, that students strengthen the reflection of solving mathematics problem.This paper pointed out a effective way to improve the ability of reflection:Teacher should create the situation of reflection for student, improve the student’s experience of problem solving, be good at using prompting method by G Polya in the teaching process, impart the content and approach for reflection to students, ask them to draw inferences about other cases from one instance, and guide the students how to take notes of reflection.
