With rapid social development, the number of skills-based and knowledge-based professionals cannot meet the needs of modern society and to cultivate talents with a innovative mind is increasingly valued by the society. As a basic science, physics carries the responsibility of developing students’Creative thinking, which some schools ignore in the teaching of physics. This paper attempts to clarify the definition of the Creative thinking through the study of the development of the Creative thinking in physics teaching for high school students. With the help of various surveys and interviews, try to find out the problems in high school physics teaching and come up with practical strategies for the cultivation of high school students’Creative thinking, and thus enhance the quality of high school physics teaching, promoting the development of innovation capacity and improve the quality of students.This article is divided into five parts. The first is an introduction, describing the research background and related research, the purpose and significance, research ideas and methods; the second part is the theoretical basis for this study, from human learning theory, Creative Educational theory, Bruner’s structure of three aspects of teaching theory, this part provides theoretical support; the third part is the studies of theory, starting from the interpretation of related concepts, it discusses the high school students characteristics of thinking development, identifying the advantages of developing the innovation capability in high school physics teaching; the fourth part is survey and research, through questionnaires and interviews, understand the status of high school physics teaching and indentify the existing problems in high school physics teaching for students’innovative capacity; the fifth part is to offer the strategies for cultivating high school students’innovative capacity in physics teaching:Teachers are supposed to higher their theoretical level, hold a correct attitude to the students they teach, deepen their understanding of physics teaching, improve their practical teaching ability, create a relaxed, harmonious learning environment; use to cultivate students’creative thinking instructional design methods; making full use of experimental teaching and extra-curricular activities is also a great way to develop the students’Creative thinking. The outcome of this study is to improve high school physics teaching, which has great value and can be precious references for cultivating the students’Creative thinking in high school physics teaching.
