After joining the WTO, the economy in our country has developed rapidly, and the integration of the world economies makes the relationship between different countries closer and closer, English, as a major international language, is used more and more extensively. So the demand for talents with good command of English is urgent, especially in practical ability of English.Along with the opening up to the outside world, English education in China has made great progress, the teaching level as well as the teaching method has been improved continuously, and the scale of teaching is expanded constantly. At the same time, students’enthusiasm for studying English is rising continuously. Relative statistics indicate, ever since the teaching mode of cooperate learning ushered in the education teaching of our country, the research on cooperate learning has been escalating, resulting in the fever of "cooperate learning". The domestic research on primary and junior high school English cooperate learning grows increasingly. The Cooperate Learning means to take study groups as a basic organized form, interact through teaching activities of completing the common task by cooperation. It uses collective result as evaluation basis, embodies collective of the intelligence and personal cooperation communication ability, thus attains a purpose of promoting the study mutually. The cooperative learning can stir up the interest of the students and promote student participation, strengthen the strategies, raise their study ability. The cooperative learning is advantageous to the relation of teacher and pupil in building up harmony, democracy and incorporation and is advantageous to effectively develop the teaching. It also promotes the student’s association ability and fulfillment ability.The current situation of English language teaching in the primary and secondary schools now in China is that because of the shortage of the research and the fulfillment experience, cooperate learning in classroom teaching becomes formalistic. It superficially looks very lively, but the achievement isn’t obvious. For looking for the cooperative learning method of more suitable village primary and junior school, the writer develops the method of cooperate learning with the help of classroom experiments, aiming at establishing a suitable teaching method for our school. The thesis uses some of students in Grade7as the research, drawing lessons from the research by the scholar; designs a set of experiment project of group cooperate learning that is suitable for the students in our school. Then taking a semester as to test a period, we observe the testing class’s activity in class in the testing period. The practice activity mainly raises the student’s writing and expression ability, raise their oral expressions by according to the cooperation. At the same time their oral expression ability can be turned into writing ability and their English writing level is raised, and it can improve students’reading ability and expression ability in writing. After testing experience is over, we compare the grades and the other results of experiment class and another class, and their feeling of the study, and then we get some effective datas. Also we ask the student of experiment class to do a questionnaire, so we can know the student’s personal result in the experiment in the group cooperate learning. At last, we make use of these datas to analysis whether the cooperative learning can availably push forward an English in our school or not. And we would discuss the problems appearing in the experience, and make a further improvement. In this way, we can investigate the direction that the cooperate learning in the English teaching that is like the village school should uses. And build up a set of useful cooperation mode, so that more teachers can know how to operate the cooperation study, which guarantees the efficiency of cooperate learning higher, the effect is better.
