In recent years, Tennis Sport has been liked and accepted gradually by undergraduates on its own distinctive charms of politesse, elegance and fashion. Tennis course has been one of the favorite sports courses in universities, by contemporary college students of all ages. However, Tennis is highly requiring on professional particularity, such as high standard for courts, facilities and qualified coaches, complexity of action and high consumption etc., which leads to that Public Tennis Elective Course Teaching in colleges and universities confronts lots of problems, these problems have seriously affected the college Tennis Teaching.This article adopts the research methods of literature data method, interviews with experts, questionnaire investigation, mathematical statistics and experiment method. The subject of this research is 40 students in 2009 Social Sports Grade without any tennis experience, who were separated randomly into experimental group and control group. It takes extractive methods from the teaching mode same as to the teenagers by American Tennis Association and the theory of Easy Tennis Training to give Tennis course. Through the experiment, the result as follows:1.From those two groups zeal of Tennis skill and choosing the Tennis Selective, the Experimental Group is more excellent than the Control Group in any ways, such as attitude.2. The two students to watch the tennis tournament of the video can greatly stimulate student interest in tennis.3. The use of the three sponge balls and transition balls played a big role in teaching.4.Short network equipment and a tennis court is divided into four small venues, to increase the utilization of the site.Tennis elective course teaching methods of the Xi’an Institute of Physical Education, and some of the recommendations are as follows:1. Teachers in the previous lesson can give students some tennis classic events, this can inspire student interest in learning tennis, thus really like tennis.2. Teachers’teaching can be used for beginners Sponge-Ball teaching. So that students could not only a relatively short time to use, strengthen confidence, grasp the basic skills of tennis, acquired more normative action, raise good sense of ball. 3.To introduce the tennis-related games into courses is not only to enrich the content for practicing, full of entertainment, to active the teaching atmosphere, but also to be helpful for cultivating beginners sense and steps of catching tennis balls.4. With equipment of Mini Tennis, one standard court can be separated into four small courts, so that the chances for beginners to practice will be increased5. To instill a lifelong tennis learning thought, the tennis into their lives, and create a stress-free tennis learning environment.
