School sports is an organic part in the whole school education. It is a education with targts, plans and organizations which is based on environment of school sports and it uses body movement and health care to affect the educated.It also promots the healthy of body development. While the physical teaching is an important part of school physical education. It is the basic organization form of achieving school sports goal. Whether in theory or in practice, school physical education is more and more attached by people. But our country is still a developing agricultural country. Urban and rural has big differences, so the pivots and difficulties of the developing school sports is in the rural areas. Physical and health new courses reforms have pursued nearly 10 years, but in most rural schools which economy develops so late,so they still have many problems to solve. This paper used the method of literature to work over the development trends of the junior high school physical education curriculum reforms in our country and abroad. To the current track and field teaching situation in junior high school of Huaibei city, the authur surveied and questioned many teachers and students of physical education. The authur mathematical statics and logic analys the questionnaire,then draws the following conclusions:1. The physical education teachers in middle school of Huaibei city think that the track and field sports is very important in PE curriculum teaching and it has the education value that other sports curriculums can’t replace. And in the sports teaching, the basic motion technology teaching should not be weakened.2. The physical education teachers in middle school of Huaibei city distribute unequal in the ability of teachers. The age, record of formal schooling and title structure are entirely unreasonable. Sports teachers’teaching preparation and the situation of having classes are not ideal. A large part of the teachers can’t have class on time and their teaching methods are single.3. The rural middle school of Huaibei city is lack of sites, equipments and other facilities, which is difficult to meet teachers’teaching needs and students’learning sports and activities demands. It is bad for developing of track and field teaching.4. The track and field sports teaching content of the rural middle school of Huaibei city is unitary, uninteresting and lack of interests. It can’t attract the students to take part in track and field sports.It needs a further reforms in track and field sports. Then it can meet the teachers’teaching of physical education and students’learning needs. Students’perceptions of physical education is high,but they don’t like track and field course.5. The sports meet of the rural middle school in Huaibei city launching is not very ideal. Though each school holds school meeting every year, the meeting’s form and content is single and the athletics monotonous is high and the number of taking is little and so on.6.The teachers of the rural middle school in Huaibei city pay more attention on students and physical technical movements in teaching evaluation process, but they ignore the students’learning interest, emotion exchanges, cooperation and other aspects of the comprehensive evaluation. The evaluation content is be greatly simplified and their teaching evaluation forms are single. They don’t evaluate students comprehensively.
