Education is the soul of a nation, which determines the future of a country. With the progress of science and technology and the developments of society, human’s material civilization rapidly increases, all countries in the world are beginning to realize to reform education in order to survive and development. The education reform in China also had not been stopped, and it had been the eighth national basic education curriculum reform as far as 2001 (the new curriculum reform). As a basic study, chemistry has the close relation to the development of the society. In the United States’chemistry course reform, they put forward the chemistry teaching should train students’scientific literacy for the purpose, not to develop chemical science and technology talents. They advocate to cultivate the rigorous attitude to science, paying attention to the scientific literacy of the whole people. Japan paid great attention to the student’s survival ability and basic skill to live.In the new curriculum reform of chemistry,they focused on the inquiry, increased the proportion of the practice activities, ang let students understand the development process of science. In the new curriculum reform in our country, we also requested to raise the students who had survival and competitive talents to adapt to the society, trained the citizens who had the overall development and scientific literacy.Meanwhile, it strengthened the chemistry’s connection to life and production. Chongqing started the ordinary high school curriculum reform in September 2010.This paper wants to know the first grade one students’chemical study situation under the new curriculum reform in Chongqing high school, and the problem in the implementation.During the writing, it adopted literature, and questionnaire and interview method to study.It includes four parts: First, preparatory work included literature review, surveying and designing questionnaire. The author reference literature at home and abroad, defined the core concept. In addition, the author designed tne reliability and validity questionnaire, in reference to the expert’s advice. At the same time,selecting the three certain typical high school in ChongQing(a township high school, a suburban high school and a urban middle school), make a questionnaire survey with part of students and all chemical teachers of grade one in thethree high schools.Meanwhile,the wuthor had a random selection of students on the enclosed interview.Second, data processing included students’questionnaire, students’interview record and teachers’ questionnaire. Through arranging the investigation results, the author used spss17.0 to analysis processing.Third, it’s the survey’s results.The author summaried the students’chemistry learning status from eight aspects, according to the analysis.Fourth, it’s the problems analysising, countermeasures and proposals. From the survey results, the author found that chongqing chemical curriculum which has made some progress,such as the students had more exploring consciousness, paying more attention to connection of chemistry and life and so on.However, there are still a lot of problems, especially chemical experiment and activities were inadequate, student evaluation standard lacked, etc. In view of these problems, this paper analyzed the concrete reason, and proposed the corresponding suggestions and measures, such as opening the laboratory, making full use of network resources in chemistry teaching and improving the chemical evaluation standard.Hoping to provide certain opinion and reference for Chongqing and the other areas in chemical curriculum reform.
