A Reseach On The Current Situation And Its Influencing Factors Of Chemical STS Education In The Context Of The Curriculum

STS education is a hot topic in the new curriculum reform. It organically integrates science technology and society into teaching. STS education is not only stresses the application and effect among the science technology and society,but also cultivates citizens with a certain scientific qualification by the implementation of STS education. This paper investigated the current situation of STS education in chemistry teaching in high school in Changchun, to explore what factors carry out STS education in chemistry teaching in high school,and gives suggestions.The main contents of the paper as follows:The first chapter is introduction. This chapter shows the research background,questions and significance, and briefly describes the research methods used in this paper, such as literature study,questionnaire survey and interview.The second chapter describes the study theory and ideas. The chapter combines philosophy, sociology and education, points out the theoretical basis of STS education. According to the STS educational goals, analyze the content of STS education which in the PEP compulsory high school chemistry textbooks, points out teaching strategies to implement STS education.Chapter III and IV are the body of the paper. Author, based on questionnaires of teacher and teacher interviews, analyze the current situation of STS education in chemistry teaching in high school, at the same time further analyze the problems and influencing factors base on the results of investigation.The fifth chapter is the conclusion of this study.It points out some suggestions base on the problems and influencing factors which appear at the body part.This article gives some suggestions through investigation and analysis: Deepening the STS educational theory; Strengthening teacher training, teacher Cultivation; Improving the textbooks and tutorial resources, preparing STS materials and pamphlets; Using and developping community resources; building a network of STS education resources; Improving the experimental teaching resources; Deepening the reform of the new curriculum, changing teaching methods. hopping the advises coulde provide some reference to STS education in the chemistry teaching in high school in Changchun.
