In the State Plan for Medium and long-Term Education Reform and Development, it ishighly emphasized that the primary and secondary distance education should be more furthered,which makes high quality education available in rural and remote areas. In distance education, ateaching method, named blended learning, brings the advantage of on-line and conventionalstudy together. In this way, not only do more first-rate learning resources become accessible butinteraction between teachers and students can come into reality in distance education.Claroline is a open source system for on-line subjects. It is highly recommended for itsconvenience in installation and functions, which puts it in a unique position in training for K12teachers. How to use Claroline to integrate a variety of resources and put blended training togood account to make improvements in training for educational technology is, undoubtedly,worth studying.The paper consists of five chapters.The first chapter serves as an introduction, which refers to several issues as follows: thebackground of skill training for educational technology, the status quo of blended training andClaroline at home and abroad, the purpose of the study, as well as, the contents and studymethods of texts.The second one outlines the relevant theory and technology. The chapter focus on thetheory of further education and professional development for teachers, the basic theory ofblended learning and the analysis of characteristics and functions of Claroline.The third one is composed of the design of blended training, the mainframe of the paper,including the analysis of its preliminary stage, the learners’ selves, the study object and contents,as well as its processes, organizations, activities, contents, designs and evaluations.The following chapter is based on the appliance of blended training, including the creationof Claroline platform, three stages of training and typical cases of blended training based onClaroline.The last chapter is conclusion, where limitations of the study and possible trends in futureshould be discussed.With self-created model of Claroline platform and the advantage of blended study,thepaper intends to depict a blended training based on Claroline platform and resolve the mostpressing problems concerning training for K12teachers in educational technology. By means of studying documents and data,action research as well as experiments,it proves that bendedtraining and Claroline platform do more to practice training for K12teachers and the process ofblended training based on the platform goes well with teacher training.
