For the growth and development of the person’s life, the family and school play an important role, especially in childhood.It can be said that whether the family and school can form a joint educational force together, is an important condition for ensuring our education to achieve the effect. Therefore, the family education and school education are two inseparable parts of the educational system. With the improvement of education level and the updates of people’s concepts of education, the awareness of home-school cooperation has been gradually deeply rooted among people:on the one hand, more and more parents had recognized the important role of home-school education for children’s growing up; on the other hand, many schools treat the home-school cooperation as an important part of daily teaching work. Many facts have proved that a positive home-school cooperation relationship is a key element in children all-round development. With the development of technology and improvement of life quality, the form of home-school cooperation has changed from the parents meeting, letters, phones contact and other traditional ways into relying on computer networks and other modern means of communication, many information platforms for home-school cooperation is into the people’s vision one after the other,"EDU To home" came into being just in this context."EDU To home" business is an overall solution which is provided by China Mobile. The China Mobile made full use of the mobile network resources,and integrated of communications and information technology to establish the platform of "EDU To home" for the mobile informatization of school education."EDU To home business" is mainly through the SMS, MMS, voice, Internet, etc. variety of ways to build bridges for information communication among schools, teachers, parents and students, to achieve the integration of school education and family education. Since the "EDU To home" put into use so far, it has gone through ten years, and its footprint is throughout the whole China. However, due to the different conditions of each place in the political, economic, and cultural,the application of "EDU To home" is not the same. The objects of this article are three schools of Guilin which are using the "EDU To home",including investigating the application status of these schools, the problems and the experiences to develop a new platform for home-school cooperation in the future.The main contents of this study are the following three points:First, by reading the extensive literature at home and abroad, combing the home-school theory, to find gaps between China and other countries in home-school cooperation; Second, by using the form of a self-made questionnaire to survey the application status of three schools in Guilin which are using the "EDU To home", according to use the Shannon-Weaver mode of transmission to reveal and analyze the unreasonable phenomenon in using the "EDU To home"; Third, proposing measures to optimize the communication effect of "EDU To home", and in this instance, proposing strategies of the home-school cooperation in the context of information technology.
