Novel Text Teaching Method In Junior Midde School

Novel is one of the four types of literature. It reflects the life and expresses the thoughts by creating characters, narrating plots and describing atmosphere. In the types of literature of Junior Middle School Chinese teaching, it mainly includes narrative writings, explanatory texts and argumentative writings. Among these, novel belongs to narrative writings which is the most important teaching content. According to Chinese Crriculum Standards, the ability of seperating realistic writings and fictions is requried. The middle school students should understand the elementary literary theories of four types of literature. This teaching target established the important position of novel teaching in Junior Middle School Chinese teaching.On basis of collecting and sorting the existing researches, the writer discovered there was still a possibility of further exploring on this subject. Therefore, this paper will carry out the topic in two chapters, and by a whole new angle of studying the teaching methods of Junior Middle School novel teaching through taking Lu Xun’s two famous novels as example.In the first chapter of the paper, it mainly talks about the teaching targets and teaching contents of Junior Middle School novel teaching. This chapter is divided into two parts. The first part is mainly about the teaching targets on the basis of the study on Chinese Crriculum Standards. The second part is about the teaching contents established by the requirements of the textbooks. In teaching contents, it mainly includes the teaching of literary theories of novel, the charactoristics of art, the ideological contents and the reading stimulation among Junior Middle School students. and it also lays down the teaching important points and difficult points.In the second chapter, it mainly talks about the teaching methods of each teaching content by taking Lu Xun’s two famous novels-My Old Home and Kong Yiji as examples.This paper is focused on the key problems of novel teaching, so the objects of the study mainly include novel works of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature in the textbooks.
