Pop songs have become the strength of the campus culture and have a profound influence on the growth of the middle school students. In recent years, they gradually entered Chinese teaching materials and high examination papers, while language teaching has been unable to avoid impact of pop songs. Go back to history, poetry and songs are homologous, poetry is the pop songs of the era, and contemporary pop songs also successfully draw on classical poetry to enhance their own style. From a practical point of view, pop songs could meet the students’ ignorant emotional needs and simple pop aesthetic needs, which fit the language characteristics and basic principles of language teaching, so the pop songs could be incorporated into Chinese course resources.This paper first introduces the definition and characteristics of popular songs, which offers theory foundation for the discussion below. It expounds the origin of popular songs and literature, and also prevents and corrects negative impact from the two Angles between grammar and theme of pop songs. The paper demonstrates that poetry and song are homologous and poetry is pop songs of the era, and points out that the contemporary pop songs are of reference and expounded of classical poetry.In the dialectical at the basis of popular songs, this article explores feasibility of positive interaction between pop songs and Chinese teaching in middle school from three aspects, as following:(1)popular songs and the characteristics of the physical and mental development of high school students,(2)popular songs and the language discipline characteristic,(3)popular songs and the relationship between the principle of the Chinese teaching of middle school.Then, the article mainly discusses strategies for positive interaction between popular songs and Chinese teaching in middle school, which is the center of gravity studied in the paper. It discusses the Inspiration and auxiliary function of popular songs on Chinese teaching in middle school from four angles of grammar teaching, rhetoric poetry, poetry teaching, and composition teaching, after bringing pop music into the category of resources of Chinese course. And it is one of the special features of this article to introduce a large number of positive health, style diversity, wording beautiful pop songs as examples. Finally, this paper puts forward several problems may encounter in the benign interaction between popular songs and the Chinese teaching of middle school in practice. It encourages more Chinese language teachers to teach in a beneficial attempt, and to open treasures of pop songs as language teaching resources. With the help of pop songs, several problems in Chinese teaching could be solved perfectly.
