With the new geography curriculum standard production, a geography textbook is not only the discipline theory of vector, but also the value orientation of the carrier. The content of the textbook system must have a certain subjective attitude. It contains some hidden content. That will influences the teaching value orientation directly or indirectly, which is contained in the discipline, geography teacher and student. Textbook, named the average high school course standard experiment textbook of compulsory courses2, is a characteristics book. According to " The high school geography curriculum standard (experimental)", which is developed by the Ministry of education, it written by People’s Education Press, Curriculum and Teaching Materials Research Institute and geography curriculum and teaching materials research and development center. It transfer the teaching value orientation that is a lighthouse and the focus of our attention.The research on the value orientation exists two sides in the research way. There are philosophy and psychology in two orientations. The strategy of the first is speculation. The latter is evidence. The core research way of this paper is theoretical analysis, complemented by empirical study. Theoretical analysis is based on the three methods, such as logic, history, comparison and so on. Besides that I borrow a large number of literature to demonstrate. The empirical part carry on three ways, such as questionnaire survey, interview, observation and so on. In the practice conditions, I can go on the experiment by interviewing senior geography teachers and students from different grades. This paper adopts many kinds of research methods, containing literature method, comparative method, experience summary method, comprehensive analysis, interview, questionnaire, expert interview and so on.This paper defines two concepts that used commonly. They are human geography textbook system and the orientation of teaching value. Analyze the relationship between the two in depth. Elaborate that the humanistic geography textbook system how to effect teaching value orientation from three sides--discipline nature, student, teacher.The first part of the paper puts forward one of the objects, human geography textbook system. The constitution contains the arrangement of contents, content selection, content representation. Analyze the sample statistical.The second part of the paper puts forward the other object, the orientation of teaching value. Summarize its development process. According to the characteristics of the times, define the geography teaching value orientation. According to the dynamic evolution, which start from "pay attention to emotional expression" to "Pay attention to the basic knowledge and basic skills", from no development to "The importance of living" to "focus on three-dimensional". Sum up three kinds of geography teaching value. They are knowledge and skill of teaching value orientation, process and method of teaching value orientation, emotional attitude and value orientation of teaching value orientation.The third part of the paper research the geography teaching content system how to effect the teaching value orientation. On basis of the three elements, which constitute humane geography teaching content system, refined into eight categories. They are frame structure, psychological structure, morphological structure, contents, theoretical concepts, image configuration, design activity, analyze case. Analyze that the chapters reflect the teaching value orientation one by one. Mining influenced factors. Put forward a lot of quantitative comparison method. Then I discover that the teaching value orientation has the advantage of representations with diversity, but has the disadvantage of losing complete system in the human geography teaching content system.The third part of the paper put forward strategy to optimize human geography teaching content. In order to adapt to the rapid development of teaching value orientation, deepening the teaching practice. This paper explores the balance point, which is based on geography textbook system and curriculum standard height fitting each other. Use teaching material to develop the correct orientation of teaching value from three sides—discipline, student and teacher.
