Geography textbooks are the basic materials for teachers' teaching,and they are also an important medium for students to acquire geographic knowledge.They play an important role in teaching and learning.As an important content of teaching materials,geographic image system plays an important role in transmitting geographic information,expressing geographic laws,reproducing geographic environment,training students' thinking,inspiring learning interest and cultivating core literacy.The geographic image system of the new textbook has changed significantly compared to the old textbook.This article takes Compulsory 1 as an example to compare the new and old textbooks geographic image systems,and aims to provide a reference for high school geography teachers to use geographic image systems to carry out geographic teaching practice.This article is based on the needs of basic education reform,the current status of high school geography teaching practice and the role of geographic image system in teaching practice.With the support of humanistic learning theory,constructivist learning theory and system theory foundation,the number,density,type,presentation,expressiveness and timeliness of new and old textbook geographic image systems are analyzed and studied,and corresponding conclusions are drawn.Firstly,there is a clear commonality between the new and old textbook geographic image systems.Geographic images are large in number,many in type,and close in density.The geographical image is mainly presented by a single image,supplemented by the combined image presentation,highlighting the combination of graphics and text.At the same time,the image selection of the new and old textbooks geographic image system attaches importance to the actual connection with life.Secondly,the new textbook geographic image system has outstanding advantages.The type setting is reasonable.The proportion of geographic images to train students' thinking ability is roughly the same as the proportion of geographic images that inspire the enthusiasm for geographic learning.The geographic image system takes into account the cultivation of thinking and interest.Geographic statistical maps have been improved to a certain extent,and differences in geographical elements and spatial and temporal changes are emphasized.Expanding the area of the picture frame,the overall color coordination of the geographic image system and good expressiveness.It attaches great importance to contacting social hot issues,and the timeliness of images is strong.The increase of remote sensing images strengthens the connection between geographic image systems and modern geographic information technology.Thirdly,the new textbook geographic image system has shortcomings.The picture frame density is slightly smaller;there are fewer combined images and the imbalance of the picture and text;the color difference is small,and the geographical image is not eye-catching.Based on the comparison results of geographic image systems of new and old textbooks,a teaching application strategy is proposed according to the characteristics of geographic image systems of new textbooks.Strategy 1: Select geographic image system and reasonably integrate teaching;combine teaching key points and difficulties,use images appropriately;mine geographic image information and cultivate core literacy.Strategy two: Activate the geographic image system,realize effective learning,and re-interpret the image and text to make the image “live” in the language.With the help of modern information technology,make the image “live” visually.Strategy three: Integrate geographic image resources,construct a curriculum system,integrate elements into a system,construct a curriculum as a whole,integrate phenomena to principles,and continuously construct a curriculum. |
