As the farmers’ production and living information source, the land plays an important role for farmers. However, with industrialization and urbanization are rapidly advanced, more and more farmers lost their land. In this case, the peasants were forced to become the public identity of the city. The transformation of the identity has not brought substantial development of land-lost farmers. To the contrary, there have been many problems. On the one hand, they lost the basic subsistence of the land to resist risks, on the other hand, due to constraints and intense pressure of labor-market competition, they were unable to find suitable jobs, thus, they are trapped into a landless and unemployment state. More importantly, the land-lost farmers’ ideas, lifestyles, interpersonal, and social relations are largely different from urban citiziens. This study employed the method of questionnaire survey and interviews of90land-lost farmers of Suzhou, analyzed the data, and summed up the adaptal situstions of land-lost farmers in the economic, social and psychological levels. Psychological performs in the land-lost farmers who agree with their own urban citizen identity is not high. There is a strong desire to integrate into the urban city but the participation rate is not high.
