This paper takes Chengdu Electromechanical College (CEC) for example and analyzes its current situation of quality education. Combined with the research into relevant theories of quality education and national requirements and objectives on talent training in higher vocational and technical education, its goal is to explore the feasible solutions and concrete implementation approaches of quality education.First of all, the basic connotation of Quality Education and a number of relationships to deal with in carrying it out are elaborated after in-depth analysis and understanding of the theories concerned with the quality education and the quality education of college students; The basic contents of Quality Education are summarized by studying the basic elements of influencing college students employment competitiveness as well as the contemporary requirements and objectives of talent training in higher vocational and technical education, which have laid a theoretical foundation for the analysis of quality education in CEC.Secondly, through questionnaires, individual student’s interviews and other ways of field survey, objective analysis of present situation of quality education in CEC has been done. Next, this paper lists some achievements and results of quality education, as well as problems occurring in the process of implementation in recent years. In particular, the internal and external factors of these problems are analyzed both objectively and deeplyNext, based on the problems and actual conditions in CEC, coupled with successful experience of a few other vocational education institutions in China, a number of practical measures have been proposed. Finally, to take the major o f computer science in CEC for example, some theories concerned are studied briefly from three major aspects:professional ability training, innovative ability training and social responsibility training. In addition, some specific implementation approaches have been explored in the form of the syllabus, which are expected to contribute to promoting quality education in CEC. improving the overall educational level and better fulfilling its social responsibility of enhancing the people’s quality.
