During the development of higher vocational education in China, vocational institutions have explored and reformed on cultivating technical talents through school-enterprise cooperation, and made fruitful achievements. However, there are still problems and limits in the school-enterprise cooperation. For instance, enterprises are not enough motivated, short-term partnership problem, and unsatisfied practical result, etc. Therefore, the implement paths of school-enterprise cooperation need to be clarified in order to improve the partnership quality.Higher vocational education is characterized by crossing higher and vocational education, as well as crossing industry and academy. It has both educational and economic nature with responsibility of cultivating technical talents for social and economic development. Thus among all types of education, higher vocational education has the closest and most direct connection with local area. The school-enterprise cooperation is an education mode which is established to cultivate practical talents to cater for industrial requirements, relocate colleges and industrials’ advanced education resources, and improve comprehensive quality of students. The mode is essential and meaningful for students’ cultivation, development of both parties and social and economic development.Cases and modes of school-enterprise cooperation in China and abroad are analyzed and compared. Single-content, lack of cooperation motives, and poor sustainability are found to be the major problems at present in China. From collaborative perspective, reasons are incomplete collaborative organizing, inadequate collaborative mechanism, unclear collaborative goal and lack of healthy collaborative environment.Collaboration on goal, organizing, mechanism and environment are four requirements, as well as four implement paths, for school-enterprise cooperation. To be specific, the paths including improving government macro regulation and guidance to perfect mechanism collaboration, planning comprehensive and multi-level cooperation to establish organizing collaboration, improving benefits for both parties in multi-angle to realize goal collaboration, and strengthening the consensus on cooperation to create environment collaboration.
