In the context of globalization, many countries have a profound understanding of theimportant role of National Language Curriculum in cultivating talents, the heritage of nationalculture and promoting the development of society. At the same time, the National LanguageCurriculum is the important foundation to learn other courses. Therefore, it has become all thefocus of education reform and many countries have issued the newest standards of NationalLanguage Curriculum. In2001China promulgated the" Full-time Compulsory EducationChinese course standards (experimental draft)".After ten years of exploration, the ministry ofeducation carried on the revision and promulgated a newest" Chinese course standards (2011edition)". It will be started in the autumn of2012.It happens that there is a similar case, theUnited States promulgated the first unified" English Language Arts Standards" in2010June.It is also a newest work of National Language Curriculum reform.With the implementation and advances of curriculum reform, many countries areexploring constantly to adjust the National Language Curriculum, inducing and summarizingthe problems of practice and referencing to international standards for the revision andperfection of the standards. The United States is the first powerful nation and has a strongeducation. We have been learning from him. Now, the tow countries are almost at the sametime revised and published the newest National Language Curriculum standards. So the studytries to make a comparison of National Language Curriculum in Primary Education betweenChina and America.On the basis of experience of previous research, using methods of literature andcomparative analysis, I try to make a multi angle comparison on concept, structure, goals andcontents etc of the two standards. In order to chew some nutrients, learn and draw lessonsfrom the essence of "outside the box" and provide some reference ideas and methods for thefuture revision, perfection of National Language curriculum standards.
