Research About The Orientation And Classification Development Of The Local College

Classification development is not only an important measure tomaintain the running of higher education order, to promote highereducation’s overall structure and function optimization, but its strategicimportance for higher education ecosystem health development. Localuniversity is important carrier to realizing space refinement and specificimplementation in a particular region, is also significant to achieveclassification development’s goal of higher education.However, localuniversity is under converging attack by the old research university andall kinds of Vocational Colleges, its orientation always has beencontroversial, effected school-running characteristics formation of localuniversity. Therefore, the orientation and classification development ofthe local university is an appropriate practice, full of personality of thepractical problems.This thesis based on the relationship between orientation andclassification of university, from the degree, the mode of talent cultivation,the function of school in three dimensions of multidimensionalclassification framework, so as to provide basic theories to explorevarious universities ‘scientific positioning in Guangxi. Through the studyof non-invasive methods, the thesis analysis on30Guangxi localuniversities’ self-evaluation materials, discusses the current situation oforientation of Guangxi Local University, summary the orientationcharacteristics and problems, apply internal and external relations law ofhigher education and analysis causes of restricting the orientation ofuniversity in Guangxi. By applying theory analysis of regional highereducation development, considered the key to solving the problem fromthe Government, community and University-the tripartite joint efforts to build internal and external healthy environment, in particular playing aguiding role of system environment.The starting point of the study is logical thinking on relationshipbetween classification and orientation in colleges and universities.Studies have shown that classification is a prerequisite for orientation, animportant guiding role in the orientation of colleges and universities,However, classification cannot be limited to a certain level or a certaintype, but should be combined with regional characteristics, social needs,the nature of College, and other factors, to build a diversified categorydimension. Based on this, this article from the degrees、the mode of talentcultivation and school functions, which divides Guangxi localUniversities into: doctoral degree-granting units,grant project construc-tionPhD、master’s degree-granting、master’s degree-granting unit projectconstruction and in newly-built universities、independent colleges etc.And it takes the orientation of30universities in Guangxi for observationof hierarchical classification. Analysis found that current ordinarycolleges and universities in Guangxi position statements to theconvergence and level of features, existing problems such as missingcharacteristic of modern school-running concept,overlapping disciplines,single mode of talent cultivation, and lack of social service function.Therefore, this thesis try to analysis the causes of restricting theorientation from the regional economic development needs, resourceallocation and evaluation system in colleges and universities,"Unification"-traditional cultural values and others external factors,from economic interests of the University’s main internal factors such asdriving, School running a leadership. In view of this, the author bytheoretical analysis of regional higher education development, think thatrealize the reasonable positioning of local colleges and their classification development needs the government, society in three joint. First,Government should encourage colleges and universities running aclassification to promote orderly competition; secondly, the societyshould develop the classification system, guiding the orientation; third,university level should actively establish scientific" orientation", makeclear niche all kinds of College. Finally, taking Guangxi University as theobject, according to the classification of analytical framework, the authorputs forward the corresponding classification positioning strategy.
