The Curricular Resources In The Community Of "Chemistry1"

Curricular Resources of the community are those things, that can support the curriculum consisting inthe community and outside schools. That’s the demand of curricular reformation and the surely waytowards Characteristic Education to develop Curricular Resources. And Curricular Resources developmentmay bring many benefits, as improving teachers’ professional quality, fostering students’ study interest, toappear the education value of community objects, and being helpful to construct the community. AfterInvestigation，we found that both basic education and mining industry developed well in Xinzheng Henanprovince, the students could get many scores in the traditional tests. But the leaders always give no eye tothe curricular resources development, making the resources of Chemistry curriculum to be in idle all thetime. Without the STS details, the students can’t associate the knowledge with its use in their life. So, we’dlike to develop curricular resources of the community.Combined with the existing literature and the research object, the relevant concepts (such ascommunity, curriculum resources in communities, etc) is defined. Because part of the concept in the paperhas not been found in the existing literature, the author’s definition is only to reflect the content accurately.To find out the present situation of chemistry curricular resources’ development in the high schools ofXinzheng, I did researches through the interview and questionnaire. After analysing the findings, we gotthe influencing factors in the topics: the attention of leaders, specific trainings, teachers’ pressure in work,etc. And then, I did a classified investigation of curricular resources of Xinzheng. Comparing the results ofthe survey and the “Chemistry1(Required)" edited by Shandong Science&Technology Press, I did acollection according to the corresponding relationship. In the paper, I provide some study cases, hoping tocome forward with their valuable contributions.After all, the development of curricular resources needs the participation and cooperation ofeducation departments, schools, teachers, students, parents and all kinds of social workers. It’s acomplex system. Local leaders are hoped to pay attention to this subject and realize the importanceand necessity to carry out the study. They should organize workers actively, coordinate departmentsto cooperate with each other. Then, the education in Xinzheng city will be found better.
