In2005, Chinese government and the Party put forward to building harmonious society. Nowadays harmonious society has become the new ruling idea. Harmony needs harmonious education as an intermediary. Harmonious education is the appeal of social development, which embodies the requirement of advanced culture and is the comprehensive way of human development. Harmonious education is the highest level of education and the most wonderful realm. Robin de Lana. Tagore was an India famous poet and educator by the India culture and the Western Romantic influences, his "harmonious theory of human nature" and "harmonious education" has both the solemn of mountain and the vastness of the sea. He had natural serenity, his poems were not the product of thunderstorm, but showed his daily temperament, which let us suddenly discover the world of the New Greek.The second part of this paper analyzes Tagore’s educational background, and then analyzes the background of Tagore educational thought from the natural environment, social environment and the trend of the world. In the third part, the paper mainly introduces the key content of his harmonious education. First, it definite what are "harmony" and "harmonious education". Second, the paper introduces its educational values, which is the thought of "harmonious humanity"(human nature lies in the pursuit of the perfect heart, respect for self and personality value, freedom and love),and then elaborates his harmonious education from four aspects namely the aims of education, curriculum content, teaching methods, the relationship between teachers and students. Tagore’s harmonious education was influenced by the traditional culture of India and the influence of Western romanticism. In his mind, the conservative and traditional, aristocrats and the plebeians, fantasy and practical interweaved together. The paper objectively analyzes his educational characteristics and limitations. Tagore’s education thought more or less had certain political color, which was the result of times. He pays attention to the student’s reality and requirements, and pay attention to cultivate students’thinking ability and the ability of imagination. He stressed the teaching site should be away from the noisy city, teaching content must be implemented by the school,which in contemporary remains difficult to implement. Tagore’s harmonious education is the product of India, but in China it also has the possibility of development and feasibility. In the fourth part of this paper, it summarizes the cultural and historical similarity between India and China from the thought of "harmonious development of man and nature" and the philosophical thought of "I come from Vatican, and I will be returned to the Vatican", there are:first, the world is a system as a whole, man and nature are two natural existences in this system. Secondly, two thoughts contain religious heaven, ethics and the meaning of natural heaven. The paper also analyzes the bound between Tagore and Chinese Taoist and the rise of three Tagore hot in China. All of these lay a solid foundation in the development of Tagore’s harmonious education in China.Harmonious education has become our new education concept. After the analysis of the similarity between India and China, how to practice has become an unavoidable topic. This article has made the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions based on the present situation, including educational mechanism and educational environment establishment. The educational mechanism include aims of education updated (freedom in heart), justice of Education (make no social distinctions in teaching) and education behavior correction (communication education, reading education, experience education). In the education environment, this paper advocates the establishment of a green society, green campus and the green family.India Mahatma Gandhi once said:If you want to see the change in the world, we should start from ourselves. Harmonious education needs our educators to seize the opportunity and diligently to pursue. Victor. Hugo once said:"there is nothing more powerful than the opportunity". The thought of harmonious education will be shining.
