Research On The Administration Of The College Volunteers In Sports Event

In the Beijing Olympic Games and Guangzhou Asian Games, the college studentvolunteers played the vital role as the main force of the events. The college has greatadvantages on the organization and management for college volunteers. Therefore, collegestudent volunteers have become an integral part in China’s large sports events. In this case, itis necessary to research on the administration of the college volunteers in sports event.TheBeijing Olympic Games and the Guangzhou Asian Games gave priority to college recruitvolunteers, and then supplemented by social recruit. Colleges were bared most of thevolunteer recruitment, training, management and back up service. This should have beenadded new content to the management of college. Due to the lack of experience, college maymeet some problems in students’ volunteer organization and management. How to improvecollege students sports volunteer management model so that students can make balance insports volunteer service and academic? How to promote the sports volunteer activities,fostering the volunteer spirit, so to achieve the aim of personnel training? That is worth toresearch.This paper discusses college student volunteers in sports events and the management ofthem. Summarizes college volunteers’ management system in the Guangzhou Asian Games,and with the Guangzhou Asian Games as an example, researches the volunteers’ recruitment,training, management, back up service, motivation of the colleges and universities inGuangzhou. And then makes the questionnaire survey to the college student volunteers to findout some management process problems in the Guangzhou Asian Games. This paper analysesthe volunteers’ management experience of colleges in the Guangzhou Asian Games and triesto give suggestion to colleges for management of the volunteers in sports event for reference.At last, it makes us think about the volunteer spirit of Chinese college students from collegesports volunteers’ management.
