Emotional state as a measure of psychological health level is an important index istaken seriously increasingly, whether self regulation of emotion on individual qualitiesdirectly influence the development, and the individual’s physical and mental health areclosely related. Modern research confirms, emotional intelligence in the success of lifeplays an important role, it can better reflect the individual’s emotional regulation andsocial adaptation. Emotional intelligence put forward to expand and extend the socialconnotation of intelligence, intellectual application is more practical, has the guidingsense of personal achievement. Many examples show that people with higher levels ofemotional intelligence, has a rational and emotional stability, can apperceive to work,study, life in the new situation and the mood changes, and rational use of theseemotional information to make decision. People with high levels of emotionalintelligence is able to identify and control the emotions of others, has the very strongsocial ability, the corresponding social adaptation level is higher also. Emotionalintelligence person, the general lack of correct understanding of its mood, anxiety,irritability, depression often have bad mood, self-confidence is not strong,communication ability is poor, social adaptability is poor, affect its development andimprovement. College students are the life growth and development stages, the mentalhealth of college students is becoming more and more receives the attention fromvarious circles of society, college students are faced with the role adaptation, learningadaptation, interpersonal adaptation, emotional distress, living adaptation, occupationchoice and a series of psychological development, these are also currently plaguing thedevelopment of College Students’ psychological health problems. These adaptiveproblem solving, which will directly affect students’physical and mental healthdevelopment of college students, but also on the adult psychological development hasfar-reaching influence. On College Students’ emotional intelligence and social adaptability to althoughobtained certain achievement, but many studies did not give the emotional intelligenceof college students with scientific classification and definition, without considering theeffect of emotional intelligence on social adaptation. This thesis focuses on thediscussion of students’ emotional intelligence and social relationships betweenacculturation, the study to help students to improve the ability of emotion regulation,improve the social adaptation ability has important significance. In theory, which canenrich the theory of emotional intelligence, to develop and improve the emotional intelligence provide theoretical and empirical basis, but also for the students’ ability to adapt the society to provide more targeted principle. In practice, through the study of students’ emotional intelligence and social relations, for the university psychological counseling teachers provide guidance theory, selecting predictive role of the greatest emotional factor intensive education, thereby effectively promote the students to achieve good social adaptation.The study on the emotional intelligence scale used by Schutte et al. Preparation of the emotional intelligence scale (emotional Intelligence Scale, EIS), the social adaptation scale used by Lu Xiefeng for" College Students’Adaptability Scale"(CSAI). This study in three Jing Zhou University (Yangtze University, Jing Zhou Institute of Technology, the Jing Zhou Institute of Education), randomly selected from a large, two, big three, big four and graduate five grade400students conducted a questionnaire survey, by trying to fill in the questionnaire, after filling out the questionnaire on the spot recovery. After surveying385valid questionnaires (excluding the part of incomplete information and response tendency is apparent sample), the effective questionnaire rate96.25%. Recovery data using descriptive statistics of college students emotional intelligence and social status, the use of independent samples T test to test emotional intelligence and social adaptation in grades, gender, Department, students and whether singleton differences on emotional intelligence of college students, and then to the factor as predictor variables, social adaptation and the general questionnaire factor as the dependent variable, multiple stepwise regression analysis test of emotional intelligence factors on social adaptation of the prediction function. Conclusions of the study are as follows:(1) The emotional intelligence of college students overall in the mid to upper level of emotional intelligence, the dimensions of balanced development, each subscale scores were higher than middle level. College Students’ social adaptation in the middle of preference, the evaluation is more concentrated.(2) The emotional intelligence of college students in gender, family and whether or not only have no significant difference.(3) College students emotional intelligence factor score and total score in the grade exist significant differences, big two big three factors of emotional intelligence scores were higher than other grades.(4) College students’ emotional intelligence in each factor and total scores in the students show significant differences from the city, the college students than the student from countryside. Emotion perception and regulation of emotion factors score difference is very significant, from city college students emotion perception ability and control the emotions of others, the ability to significantly stronger than the college students from rural areas.(5) To different grades of college students social adaptation of the dimension scores and total scores comparable to that found in college students’ adaptation, in addition to occupation choice there is no obvious difference (P>0.05), other adaptive factors were significantly different, adaptive total score in the grade also had significant differences (P<0.01), the big three students on the social adaptation of the factors and the total score the highest score, sophomore time of.(6) For different gender comparison, male and female college students in social adaptation of each factor and total score of no significant difference.(7) By comparing the different department students’ social adaptation, arts and science students in study adaptability, environment overall identity two factors significantly (P<0.05), in the learning adaptability and environment overall identity, Yu Wenke college science students.(8) Through to the different college students social adaptability comparison, students from city and rural students in the role adaptation and self-care adaptability score have significant difference, namely from city college students role adaptation than student from countryside, and the city college students living adaptability than from rural college students.(9) The only child and the social adaptation is found, only child and non only child college students in daily life, environment adaptability of the overall identity scores had significant difference (P<0.05), which was the only child college students’living environment adaptability, the overall recognition ability than the only child college students.(10) Emotional intelligence in emotion perception, emotion regulation, regulation of the emotions of others, self three factors and social factors and the total score was significantly correlated with emotional factors, and social adaptation in environment overall identity beyond all adjustment factors and adaptation score was significantly related to.(11) The results of regression analysis showed that emotional intelligence of college students on social adaptation have significant predictive effect. The regulation of the emotions of others, and emotion perception two variables on learning adaptability, interpersonal adaptation, occupation adaptation of choice was a significant predictor of emotional regulation, self and emotion perception two variables on self-care adaptability, physical and mental symptoms had a higher predictive role, emotional regulation variable significantly predicted overall identity.
