With the steady development of the socialist market economy,secondary vocational school students (SVSS) has become anindispensible part in the link of modern industry in China. Their ideologyand morality offer a clear picture of the comprehensive quality of thework force nation wide, so it is an important aim for school’s moraleducation to cultivate their ideology and morality, which in rurn will bean important means for students to grow ideologically and morally. Butdifferent from other forms of education, the education of ideology andmorality is more complex in evaluating ferms of its evaluation. For a longtime, qualitative evaluation has been adopted in students’ ideologyand morality with a large degree of subjectivity in its methods andapplication. Some schools only give comments with no grading andrating while some school employ quantitative evaluation with gradingon the basis of qualitative evaluation. Such adoptions do play somecertain roles, but fall short of maneuverability and sophistication ofstandard with obscurity and even distortion of truth in the process.Guided by the developmental evaluation mode with the matchingevaluation method, the thesis targets at the assessment of the ideologyand morality of Yangpu Sanitary School’ s students, by referenceresearch, interviews and questionnairs, with better embodiment of thecharacteristics of development and application of the evaluationstandard. The quality of ideology and moral evaluation is to be raisedby evaluating and assessing students’ ideology and morality, looking forlurking problems and thus adjusting our educational strategy effectively.Finally, by employing research and analysis, reevaluating theevaluation standard, Process and outcome, the validity of this study willbe verified.
