China is an important agricultural country who has1.4billion people, nearly80percent population in rural areas. The main problem of building socialism is still the rural issue, and the quality of farmers has a direct influence on the speed and quality of the construction of a new socialist countryside. The construction of a new countryside calls for the training of farmers with modern consciousness. Though the overall quality of farmers in our country has been improved since the implementation of compulsory education, there are still many middle school students who have left school without the completion of the prescribed years of school education, and it is the prominent problem of the rural education in our country. To improve the overall quality of our nationals, our country has formulated the Law on Compulsory Education, according to which minors have the right to compulsory education, which is their duty as well, the drop-out of the minor goes against the responsibility which is ruled by law, both parents of guardians and schools have to undertake the responsibility for the dropout of minors, because the drop-out violates the rule of compulsory education. In this case, to avoid the punishment of the law and the examination of the education sector, the drop-out rate seems much lower when it is related to the school roll. Though some students have been absent from school for a quite long time, to avoid the check of the education sector, their school rolls are still maintained. The statistics of the dropout rate is unreliable, because it is made only by the selection of "Roll the existence of to determine the drop-out behavior. The statistics may make dropout rate much lower than the accurate one, and cover up the seriousness of the problem of the drop-out of our middle school students. In recent years, some scholars have noticed that the concept of drop-out is too general, and they specified the concept, that is, Dominant drop-out and Hidden drop-out.In this paper, the issue of the hidden drop-out of rural middle school students is analyzed. But there is still no clear definition of hidden drop-out, by consulting relating materials, based on the summary of the analyses of the hidden drop-out, the feasible definition has been made. Jilin Province Qian Guo Xin Li Township Middle School is made to be an example, making questionnaire is the research method, the reason and the seriousness of the hidden dropout of the rural middle schools have been found, that is, under the influence of the examination-oriented education, what is considered by schools, teachers, and parents is the mark that students make in the examinations. Students’ high mark and the entrance of major high school can bring fame and be the criterion for the evaluation of students. This kind of education leads to materialism, and can not improve the quality of the nationals. The students with mediocre or even low mark suffer the cold violence with different levels made by schools, teachers, other students, and their parents. The analysis has also been made from the aspect how the poverty culture and the farmers’ out-of-date opinions influence the students, which finally lead to the large amount of hidden drop-out.It is a process from quantitative change to qualitative change of students who have experienced the process from having the idea of leaving school to taking actions. Hidden drop-out is the transitional stage of dominant drop-out, and dominant drop-out is the result of hidden drop-out. The control of hidden drop-out and the elimination of drop-out in its seed are the most efficient means of solving the problem of rural drop-out.
