Since the national Ministry of Education approved the establishment of independent colleges jointly sponsored by social forces and ordinary colleges, along with its unceasingly scale of study programs, and its strong development, independent colleges have become an effective way to expand higher education as one kind of compositional model which the university educational resources extensively expands. However, with continuous enrollment in colleges, and the limited educational resources, especially high-quality teachers have become scarcer. Therefore, to build an efficient and well-structured teachers’ troop is the major task of facing the subject for independent colleges. The primary research goals of the thesis are to explore the construction rule of teachers’troop, to find out the problems of teachers’troop construction and to solve these problems.Using the statistical analysis of the present faculty in independent colleges of Jilin province as the starting point, this thesis attempted to analyze the existing problems of faculty and the reasons of it. Based on it, the author proposed the faculty construction, operational mechanism which can be applied in independent colleges from the perspective of faculty employment, training and management. In addition, the author also advocated the current problems, carried out the theoretical exploration, and put forward the solutions. Finally, the author applied it in the Development College of Jilin Agricultural University and obtained the expected effects.The thesis is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction, in which the author explained the background of this study and its significance, and presented a literature review of research results—teachers’ troop construction among domestic and foreign independent colleges, and private schools.In the second part, according to statistics of teachers’troop structures, teachers’type and training in seven independent colleges, such as Development College of Jilin Agricultural University, Humanities College of Northeast Normal University, Changchun University Traveling Institute and so on, the author finds out results that state some problems of independent colleges in Jilin Province:single source of teachers, unreasonable teachers’troop structure, bad stability of teachers’ troop, weak practical ability, weak teaching and research, lack of investment funds, lack of competition in the salary system, low proportion of full-time teachers, and other issues. Besides, the author analyzes the causes combined with the national existing policy as well as advanced doing overseas.The third part describes the experience of establishing a sound mechanism for the appointment of teachers, the establishment of high standards of teacher qualification system and reasonable teachers’troop structure, as well as a sound training system in private colleges overseas.In the fourth part, the author puts forward some strategies to promote teachers’troop structure in our national independent colleges by combined with our independent colleges and training objectives from the aspects of rules and regulations (theory), and initiatives to implement (practice).
