College teachers to shoulder the important mission of the personnel training andscientific research, their motivation to work will directly affect the quality of teachingand research quality, and thus the work motivation of college teachers is becoming animportant research topic of education researchers. Work motivation refers to a seriesof excitation related to job performance, behavior, and internal and external forcesthat determine the form, direction, intensity and duration of these behaviors. It has avery strong theoretical foundation, is divided into motivation content and structuretheory and motivation role in the process theory of two categories, motivationalcontent and structure theory, including the hierarchy of needs theory, theory oftwo-factor theory and achievement motivation theory; motivation role of processtheory including expectancy theory, equity theory, goal setting theory, attributiontheory, self-efficacy theory, self-determination theory, reinforcement theory. In thisseries based on the theory, work motivation breakdown of the seven sub-motivation,the development of college teachers work motivation questionnaire, conducted asurvey of279teachers in Hunan Province, a comprehensive research university. Theresults showed that the responsibility motives most, interesting motives minimum, theintensity of the seven sub-motives in the order of: responsibility motivation, therelationship between motivation, motivation, self-realization motive, motive power,survival motivation, fun and motivation. Analysis from the point of view of personalbackground and school factors that affect the work motivation of university teachers,personal background factors, including: sex, marriage, age, work experience,education, job title, teaching discipline, teaching subjects no significant effect onwork motivation, other the factors of work motivation of the child motivation exists toa certain extent; schools of influencing factors including the material factors,psychological factors, environmental factors, management factors. On this basis,summed up the work motivation of college teachers to inspire and educate, to proceedmainly from two perspectives of individual teachers and school organizations, thepersonal aspects of teachers to motivate and develop work motivation, it shouldestablish a reasonable working values and culture work interest to enhance the abilityto work, to set the appropriate self-goals; school organization, should provide areasonable remuneration package for an open and fair performance evaluation, to create a stimulating work environment, provide good training and promotion of space,the implementation of the necessary involvement of management in order to achievethe purpose of good to inspire and educate the teachers’ work motivation...
