The Research On Ideological And Moral Education Of The Impoverished College Students

By analyzing the definition of poor college students and their psychological andbehavioral characteristics, the author elaborate the necessity of the research onimpecunious Students ’ ideological and moral construction, and put forward someimprovement methods aiming at the problems and malpractice of the ideological andmoral construction work in the present. This article gives theoretical guidance onhow to improve and strength the ideological and moral construction of collegestudents, and put it into practice. We hope the theoretical guidance can help poorstudents develop and grow healthily.According to the data published by the Ministry of Education in2010, thenumber of poor college students in our country had reached5270000by2009.Itaccounted23.06%of the total of all college students. The particularly poor studentshad reached1661000, accounting7.27%. In order to solve the economic problems ofpoor students, the government began to execute University Student loan policy from1999.Now,it has basically formed a plurality of support system which contains award,loans, subsidies and reduction. But what we have done is far from enough, the moreimportant thing is to solve their" spiritual poverty".For the reason of economy, poor students experience more pressure and obstaclesin their growth process. Over the years, there were many crime cases done by poorcollege students. Compared with the other students, poor college students are morefrail to mental and behavioral problems. And some of them even endanger theharmonious development of society. These cases remind us that things can’t be doneonly by economic or executive approches. It is necessary to research the thoughts andpsychological status of the poor students, attach more importance to the ideologicaland moral education and find out a fitted working pattern of moral construction.Thereare some advices of what we can do for poor college students’ development: enhancethe educational mechanism of mental healthy of college students, develop systemicand full-fledged moral education theories; build a strong contingent of ideological andmoral education teachers; atmosphere the school for added kindness withimpoverished students; encourage everyone in the society to form a whole power tohelp poor college students.
