In recent years, as the thought of the teacher lifelong education is widely accepted, thenew teachers’ orientation has become an important part of the teacher education. Orientationin the lifelong education of teachers is the bridge to connect the pre-service training andin-service training. The quality of orientation not only influences the growth of teachers’professional knowledge and skills, but also the tendency of new teachers’ occupation.Therefore, it attracts more and more attentions from educational administrative departmentsand scholars.In this dissertation, it chooses the new teachers as the research subjects from primaryand middle schools in Yantai and brushes up the historical evolution of new teachers’orientation development in Chinese primary and middle schools and clarifies the positivesignificance of establishment of orientation. On this basis, it learns about the current situationof Yantai new teachers’ orientation in primary and middle schools through the actualinvestigation and analysis and reveals existing problems of new teachers’ orientation andthen concludes the reasons to analyze. Finally, it puts forward my own thoughtfulcountermeasures of existing problems about Yantai new teachers’ orientation in primary andmiddle schools. Specifically, it mainly discusses around the following four aspects:The first part is an introduction to define the basic concept of new teachers’orientation and the research scope of this dissertation. It summarizes issues about the currentresearch situation of new teachers’ orientation at home and abroad and states the researchmethods that used in the writing process of this dissertation.The second part is an overview of the new teachers’ orientation in primary and middleschools in our country. It mainly discusses the historical development and evolution of newteachers’ orientation development in Chinese primary and middle schools and clarifies thepositive significance of establishment of orientation. It points out the important value of newteachers’ orientation for the Chinese teacher education.The third part expounds Yantai new teachers’ orientation in primary and middleschools. Firstly, it analyzes the basic situation of Yantai new teachers in primary and middleschools. Secondly, there is a necessary understanding of attending the orientation and the enthusiasm for new teachers to join the orientation through the orientation contents and stylesand new teachers. It analyzes current situation of the new teachers’ orientation in Yantaiprimary and middle schools through the aspects discussed above. And then it analyzes theexisting problems of new teachers’ orientation in Yantai primary and middle schools fromorientation system, attention level, educational contents and instructor behaviors, etc.The fourth part is a discussion of orientation countermeasures for new teachers’orientation in Yantai primary and middle schools. It mainly puts forward the solutions andsuggestion for the existing problems of Yantai new teachers’ orientation in primary andmiddle schools by six aspects including coming on corresponding training managementmethod, strengthening orientation organization styles, developing local characteristicorientation course, strengthening orientation safeguard measures, establishing reasonableincentive mechanisms and completing tutor systems.
