Secondary vocational education has now become the important part of China’seducational system, training millions of high-qualified and skilled laborers for theconstruction of the country. While in the course of the development, the study-weariness hasbecome an assignable problem, which shows itself in the students’ resistance to thecurriculum management. For example, the secondary vocational students have a negative anddisgusted feeling upon the lessons, structure and theories of the curriculum, textbooks andeven the teaching methods of the teachers. This thesis is taking No. Y Secondary VocationalSchool as an example and trying to find solutions to the problems. Due to the weariness of thecurriculum of the students, there was a constant decrease of their study. The students lackdesires for knowledge, neglecting scientific ways of study and considering study as a way tocope with examinations. Thus, the study conditions of these students are quite disturbing,causing that the schools can’t meet the demands of society in talent-training. The key tosolving this problem, which is at the same time influencing the sustainable development ofthe vocational education, is the reform in the curriculum management. There are somedisadvantages in the existing curriculum management, which have caused a lot of trouble ineducation. This thesis is doing a research into the study-weariness of the secondary vocationalstudents from the perspective of curriculum management, in order to work out the access tochanging this situation.Through the investigation into the curriculum-making and the weariness of the studentsin the Y Secondary Vocational School of Yantai, it can be concluded that the causes of thispsychological phenomenon are as follows:First, the theories of the curriculum arecomparatively out of date, needing to be refreshed. Second, the contents and structure of thecurriculum, teaching plans and the textbooks applied by the students are not suitable for thesestudents. Third, the teaching faculty in the school still has a long way to go to become really“Double-qualified”.Fourth, the teaching methods and teaching concepts are old and have adirect influence on the students, so they need to be improved. In order to solve this problem,there is a great necessity in arousing their interests and enthusiasm in study, so as to stimulatetheir learning motivation. At present, it has already been realized that the key to solving allthese problems is to value the strategies in curriculum management.This thesis is trying to find out the problems and solutions to the curriculum management, to illustrate the research orientation and methods, from the research proposaland objectives to the research approaches and methods. Through the investigation into theproblems in the curriculum management of the Y Secondary Vocational School of Yantai,based on abundant data from researches and questionnaires, combining with the theories bothabroad and domestic, as well as the teaching and managing experience of the author myself,this thesis tries to make analysis and conclusions on the problems existing in the curriculummanagement of Y Secondary Vocational School, and give corresponding countermeasures andsuggestions.
