With the development of the social, economic and cultural involution, the secondaryvocational education has undergone a process of development in nearly30years. Professionalsetting links the secondary vocational education and social, marketing, corporate together.Study on the specialty in secondary vocational schools mainly focus in the professionalsetting management system, professional setting principles, feasibility of specific professionalsetting analysis, theoretical and practical investigation of vocational colleges professionsetting. Historical studies for profession setting of secondary vocational school are very few.This article uses the methods just like references, historical research, comparative analysis,studying changes of specialty in secondary vocational school since the beginning of reformand opening up of society, trying to achieve the goal of make up for the lack of theoreticalresearch.Because professional directory is the content of specialized setting, and it’s aprogrammatic document of the school specialty, every major adjustments of professionaldirectory are the results of social development. The author analyzes professional setting ofsecondary vocational schools’ historical changes from macro-and micro-perspective. First,analyzing the historical characters of specialty in secondary vocational school in the differentstages from the macro perspective, Secondly, the analysis of contents of three importantspecialties in secondary vocational school published in the history since the beginning ofreform and opening up.This article consists of three parts. The first part, dividing the specialty of secondaryvocational school history into four stages, according to the socio-economic development andthe adjustment and revision of policies and regulations of secondary vocational education,since the beginning of reform and opening up, which are Recovery period of development(1978-1991), Market deciding period (1992-1999), Comprehensive construction period(2000-2006), System construction period (2007-present). Through the research of differentstages of policy and regulation literature on specialty in secondary vocational school,summarizes characteristics of specialty in secondary vocational school in different historicalperiods, tries to explore different historical stages feature of specialty in secondary vocational schools, and find out the inheritance and development relationship between them. Part twomakes a comparative analysis of the specialty in secondary vocational schools directory indifferent historical stages. By summarizing the directory’s changes in name, structure, content,number in different historical stages, have come to the data of the various aspects, showmicroscopic changes of specialty in secondary vocational school in a quantitative way. Partthree is a summary of the two parts ahead, finds the rule of evolution in specialty of secondaryvocational school, and forecasts development trend in the future.
