| Experiential learning is a new form of classroom teaching. The keyto the development of primary school experiential curriculum is“experiential activities or situations†with the relevant subjectknowledge seen as the carrier of learning, so that students couldexperience, reflection, generalize and apply during learning.Order to the actual development of "Computer Magician" coursefor example, this paper discusses the development and researchsignificance of the primary IT experiential courses from aspects oftheoretical overview, theoretical basis, the development process,implementation and revision."Computer Magician" is an experientiallearning course, with the theoretical foundation of Deweys experientiallearning and Kolb’s experiential learning. The course changed theclosed teaching and learning environment in the past to encouragestudents to experience education activities indoor and outdoor, and tocooperate, inquiry, reflection and communicate in the context createdby teacher, closely related to course content. The paper focuses oncompletion of the following:Firstly, it discusses the related concepts of experiential learningdeeply, and analyzes and summarizes the literature for nearly adecade.Secondly, it is based on the theory of experiential learning,curriculum design and development. It focuses on the children’s needsof basic knowledge and skills of IT and their interests who are in remoteareas. The author worked with her tutor and team, and developed thequality education course named of "Computer Magician ".Finally, the author analyzed, reflected, and constantly improvedthe course. From the prior discussion, reflection and amendment withthe team, to the latter thinking and modification with the feedback from the front-line teachers after implementation, the author constantlyimproved the various details of the course, better for the actualteaching.The author believes that, this is only an attempt of experientiallearning in education and instruction. The concept of experientiallearning has a guiding significance on teaching practice (eg,ideological and moral and social, sports and health, community serviceand practice, labor technology, etc.). Besides, experiential learning isvaluable not only to primary education, but also to lower or highergrades. The author hopes that more scholars will do relevant research infuture. |
