The new curriculum reform advocates bringing up-to-date learning content and diversified learning activities to the "digital natives" of the information age in the senior secondary IT curriculum,motivating students to use computational thinking to form problem-solving solutions in various contexts,and to practically experience the working patterns and thinking styles of practitioners in the IT industry.However,today’s senior secondary IT classrooms are still influenced by traditional teaching methods,with few opportunities for students to practice in person,and the phenomenon of the teacher’s "one word" still exists.Therefore,it is of great relevance and pedagogical value to improve students’ motivation,initiative and commitment to learning in high school IT learning activities.Firstly,this paper defines and summarizes and analyses the concepts and relevant studies related to experiential learning,learning activities and high school IT experiential learning activities,and introduces the theoretical basis of this study.It also uses questionnaires and interviews to investigate the current situation of IT learning activities in senior high schools,and analyses the main causes of the phenomenon of low learning initiative,motivation and learning commitment in the learning activities of senior high school IT courses from both subjective and objective aspects,and concludes that there is a lack of effective ways of learning activities,a good dialogue environment,a lack of connection between activities and reality,and insufficient learning support in senior high school IT learning activities.The study also identified problems such as the lack of effective learning activities,a good dialogue environment,lack of practical activities and insufficient learning support.Secondly,based on the existing research,and combined with the current problems of senior high school IT learning activities,we summarize the principles of designing senior high school IT experiential learning activities and the design methods of elements of senior high school IT experiential learning activities,and discuss how to design the teaching process of senior high school IT learning activities based on experiential learning.-The process of senior high school IT experiential learning activities includes five core aspects:observation and reflection,summary and improvement,and practical application,as well as the design methods of nine elements of activities,including activity approach,theme,objectives,tasks,resources,student and teacher activities,scaffolding,and evaluation.The design of a case study on how to implement the teaching process of experiential learning activities with the characteristics of the senior secondary IT curriculum.After three rounds of action research,the teaching process of the activities was adjusted and improved after each round of action,and the effectiveness of the implementation of experiential learning activities in senior secondary IT was evaluated and analyzed.Finally,the findings of this paper indicate that the teaching process of experiential learning-based high school IT learning activities has good adaptability in the high school IT curriculum,that high school IT experiential learning activities can increase students’ learning engagement,that the implementation of experiential learning activities can effectively enhance learning effectiveness,develop students’ information literacy,enhance learning experience and improve the current high school IT learning in terms of Learning engagement,initiative and motivation are not high,which provides a reference for educational reform.
