Educational courses in China has been through a transition fromcentralized management to a classified management system as“central, regional, school”, meaning that apart from the country, localand school share the power of decision on textbook creation. Thischange provides regions and schools opportunity to develop their owntextbooks and also possibilities for schools to write their own textbooks.Since the reform of new textbooks, regional and school coursesdevelopment and school-based textbooks writing have made quitesome achievements. Many teachers directly participate in local orschool course development and school-based textbook writing, whichlargely stimulated teachers’ proactivity and development of profession.This thesis is the study and thoughts, based on my personal teachingexperience in senior grades in primary school, on how to developscience picture textbook, how to write it and how to give lessonsaccording to it. Through the use of “Science picture”, discuss how tointegrate art with technology, how to improve students’ painting abilityand their scientific spirit at the same time. And discover the theoreticalvalue of textbook development in practice and review and search forthe true meaning of textbook development.This paper will develop its discussion into4parts:Part one, briefly analyze the development of Science picture bothhome and abroad, and define the concept of Science picture.Part two, to explain the theoretical evidence and principle oftextbook writing, mainly from the relationship of art and technology,and meaning of fiction textbook and school-based textbooks.Part three, through the practical use and research of fictiontextbook, conclude the promoting meaning and educational value ofScience picture. Part four, conclude the current practical result of the use of Sciencepictures in Kongjiang Er Cun Primary School, and analyze the result andits shortage, then get further ideas.
