The first generation of left-behind children who were born in the late1980s to the early1990s been slowly growing up. Along with their growth, the special significance and impact of the stay experience is gradually manifested.This paper is a retrospective study to reproduce the experience of college students’daily life and feelings. This paper reproduces individual’s growing experience, and analyzes the factors affecting mental toughness construction in response to the stay living. Explored the system of protection of individual development.First, by using qualitative research methods to show living world of college students with stay experience, this paper reproduce the left-behind situations in the eyes of individual. Using the description of the individual family dynamics and individual stay near environment, the impact of individual factors of mental toughness construct is understood.Second, The study found that:stay environment itself is just a kind of individual label, by affecting the near environment to influence the individual, therefore the impact of staying on the individual varies from person to person. Distinguishing between risk factors and protective factors in the staying in the near environment, discovering and promoting the development of protective factors can improve the individual’s mental toughness. The formation of the individual’s sense of ownership, independence and sense of individual diligence, all contribute to the formation of the protective factors derived from individual characteristics in mental toughness. Schools and other institutions increase in the individual’s sense of belonging by organizing activity, this can promote the formation of protective factors in mental toughness.Finally, the basis of the conclusions of the study are put forward. To focus on staying environment, the importance of the family system, and the distinction between gender differences.
