Independent college, as a new school-running model in the development of higher education has made an enormous contribution to the progress of popularization of Chinese higher education. However, with the increase of the amount of college students, and effected by various subjective and objective reasons, independent college students have an obvious unbalanced phenomenon in the problem of study, which is higher than the rate of other undergraduate students. College students are in the golden time of development in life so that the status of study has a direct influence on students’personal future and the quality of personnel training of higher education."Basing on students’development" is the core concept of modern education, focusing on every student’s development, showing the respect of life, which should be the obligation and responsibility for every educator. Therefore, it should be a necessary matter to deal with without delay to reason the forming of at-risk students in independent college, help them to improve the study ability, solve this problem and clear the phenomenon in the development of education.Basing on plenty of research and field work, this essay depend on applying theories of pedagogy and management, and at the same time, it focuses on views about the conception, characteristics, the necessity and the importance to transformation of learning difficulty students in independent colleges. By interviews, observations and investigations to learning difficulty students in independent colleges, the author grasps the fact and the main problems of it. On the basis of interviews and investigations, the author undertakes from four parts to illustrate the forming of learning difficulty students in independent colleges:the self non-intelligence element is the root cause; the harmful effect from family is the direct cause; the below-expectation of education in school is the significant cause and the bad influence from society is the predisposing factor.Aiming at the present situation of learning difficulty students in independent colleges, there has a direct effect and realistic significance to study how to improve the achievement, ability of learning difficulty students, how to shorten the gap between the outstanding students and learning difficulty students, how to make it successful to protect and transform. These are totally beneficial to educate excellent students, deepen college quality education and build up a harmonious school yard and society. Regarding the reasons above, this research raises that we should insist subject principle, development principle, democracy equality principle, dot-to-dot principle to transform those learning difficulty students, at the same time, colleges should focus on improving education methods, applying squandering means, example stimulating, environment practicing and system restriction to change the learning difficulty students. This research has put forward some feasible strategies on transforming learning difficulty students which wished to be worked for educators.
