In2001, the new basic education curriculum reformed.The creation of more than half a century of primary natural course changed its name to the primary school science curriculum. And the curriculum reform uses the 《primary school science curriculum standards (Grades3-6)》instead of 《natural syllabus》 as the guiding ideology of the new curriculum. The purpose of The new curriculum reform is to improve students’ scientific literacy.In order to achieve it, the teaching methods and materials of the science curriculum changed. The curriculum reform puts forward a new idea, which is "one standard and several sets of teaching material which as a key link in the curriculum reform." At present, there are ten kinds of China’s primary science teaching materials, which are Education Science Publishing House、Jiangsu Education Publishing House、Hebei People Publishing House、 Elephant Publishing House、Beijing Normal University Publishing Group、Shanghai Education Publishing House、Qingdao Publishing House、Hubei Education Publishing House、Guangdong Education Publishing House、Hunan Education Publishing House.《Primary school science curriculum standards (Grades3-6)》 has a very detailed description of the science curriculum’s nature, the basic concept of curriculum goals and the standards of content. And then,it gaves some advice on writing the books. This is first time to put forword "one standard and several sets of teaching material" in the history of China’s natural course, so there is considerable arbitrariness in preparation of teaching materials.As a little try about the correlation of science textbooks wtih 《Primary school science curriculum standards (Grades3-6)》, I hope the study can find the way to combin standard with textbook perfectly, and provide advices for the development of standard and textbooks.The study usese text study as the main method,which contains statistical and comparative. Based on the current use of science textbooks in primary school, I select three kinds of textbooks as the objects, which are Education Science Publishing House、Jiangsu Education Publishing House、Hebei People Publishing House. The scope of the study is grade3to grade6. The research carried out around two main lines:first, add up the contains of the textbooks according to the 《Primary school science curriculum standards (Grades3-6)》, and compare with the standards in order to analye the relationship of books with standards. Second, in order to give some advicese of preparation of teaching marerials on teaching setting, content, and the evaluating of teaching, I analysis the three editions of textbooks and summarize their characteristics on the base of study on three books in the first part.As the new curriculum in the basic education curriculum reform, there are many problems on primary school science curriculum which still need we to study, such as how to realize the teaching objectives, how to compile teaching materials, how to set up teaching, how to render the teaching content. Through the research, I hope to provide some useful suggestions for preparation of teaching materials in the future, and make a negligible contribution to the development of science education.
