| Teachers are the crucial power in education reform, and the important guarantee of the development of education. At present, the percentage of male teachers in the kindergarten has been constantly increasing in developed countries. However, in kindergartens of our country, female teachers are still in absolute majority. Growing attention has now been paid to the improper teacher structure and its impact on the sex maturity of children and to the "cone-shaped" formation structure of female and male teachers. Now to change the percentage of the male teachers in the kindergarten has now become a problem which needs a prompt solution.Based on previous studies, this paper, through questionnaire and interview, takes new male kindergarten teachers and principals as its main focus, supplemented by investigation on parents and male majors in college, points out the high rate of abdication of the male teachers in kindergartens and the pre-and pro-factors that inter-impact the adaptability of male teachers in the kindergarten. The non-initiative of career choice made it hard for the male teachers to be committed to their current career; there are also clear defects in the curricular setting in college. The pro-factors such as lack of motivations, vague role orientation, misunderstanding of family members and lack of career planning together with the managing defects such as low payment, few career opportunities, lack of job training, obstacles in interpersonal intercourse and lack of managing strategy all contribute to the high abdication rate of male teachers.The author suggests that the management of male students should be strengthened both before their entry into the kindergarten and after that. Before their entry into the kindergarten, a new training mode exclusive for male students in college should be invented. Male students should be trained according to their characteristics. A "1+2+1" training mode should be constructed; after their entry into kindergarten, a comprehensive and effective managing mode for male teachers should also be constructed and the management duty be fulfilled. Clear and practical detailed should be included and a effective managing and serving system for male teachers need to be built. It also has to been ensured that the investment on the constructing of a male teaching group in kindergarten. |
