In recent years, psychological capital and work engagement have become thehot point, and researches show that positive psychological capital and workengagement state is the key power to arouse employee psychologicalpotential,improve organizational performance and enhance the competitiveness oforganizations. Therefore, the research of psychological capital and work engagementis particularly important. However, in the current study,the research of theirrelationship is not much, and the research field is not related to the primary schoolteachers. Therefore, this article which sets the primary school teachers as the researchobject and study the relationship between the psychological capital and workengagement is meaningful. It not only fill the previous theoretical research gaps,butalso play a role in developing psychological capital,improving job involvement andhuman resources management for primary school teachers.This article sets the primary school teachers as the object of research ofquestionnaire, and study the psychological capital and work engagement state. Theresult of descriptive statistical analysis show, psychological capital and workengagement of the primary school teachers is generally in a low level. The result ofdifferences analysis shows, the psychological capital and work engagement haveremarkable difference in different kinds of schools, professional category and monthincome categories. The result of correlation and regression analysis shows, thepsychological capital and work engagement has significant positive correlation. Thenpoint out the problems which exist in the effects of psychological capital on workengagement, and put forward related methods and advice.
