The work involvement of special education teachers plays an important role in special education,it is not only directly related to the quality of special education,but also to the psychological development of special children and the significance of social adaptability.Studies have shown that teacher professional identity and psychological capital affect work involvement.A sample of 253 special education teachers were tested by professional identification scale,teachers' psychological capital scale,and the utrecht work engagement scale(UWES).This research was intended to investigate the current situation of special education teachers' psychological capital and explore the relationship of psychological capital,professional identification and work engagement,including correlation analysis and ANOVA and regression analysis with SPSS22.0.The main conclusions of this study were as followed:(1)As a whole,the special education teachers had high score in professional identification,psychological capital and work engagement.(2)There were significant age differences in professional identity and professional behavior tendency and professional values.The scores of 51 and over age groups were significantly smaller than those of other groups in the total scores of occupational identification,occupational values and behavioral tendencies.(3)There was no significant difference in the psychological capital,but the difference was remarkable in each dimension.Female teachers' scores were significantly higher than males in hope.Married teachers scored higher than unmarried in the dimension of confidence.The special education teachers with different teaching years showed significant differences in the optimism and resilience.(4)Work engagement had significant differences in teaching age and educational backgound.There were significant differences in demographic variables.16-20 age group had higher score than other groups in work engagement.5 age group had lower score than other group in vigour,dedication and absorption.(5)There were significant positive correlations between professional identification and psychological capital and work engagement.(6)Work engagement was significantly predicted by professional identification,psychological capital predicted work engagement significantly.(7)Psychologica capital mediated the relationship between professionalment and work engagement.
