The new curriculum reform requires to return the initiative of the students and the goalof classroom teaching should be to improve the scientific literacy of students. And it requiresto promote the active participation of students in the teaching process and to cultivate thestudents’ ability of learning ability and cooperation. Exercise classes in chemistry occupy alarge proportion in the high school chemistry classroom teaching, especially in GradeThree. Effective teaching of exercise classes not only can help the students to solve theknowledge problems but also master the methods of solving practical problems withchemistry knowledge, what’s more, it can motivate students, enhancestudents’ self-confidence, and improve the enthusiasm of learning. Therefore, how to carryout effective teaching exercise lessons under the new curriculum idea and to research a set ofeffective chemistry exercise teaching method are very important.In this paper, the background and significance of topics are stated,combined with thenew curriculum reform, through the consult massive literature, based on the resultsof domestic and foreign high school chemistry exercises teaching research analyzes. Usingthe questionnaire survey, the paper offers the current ideas of students and teachers about thechemistry exercise class and its effect, analyzes the existing problems in the teaching ofchemistry exercise class, and puts forward the reform measures in the light of theseproblems, as well as design teaching process in accordance with the characteristics ofstudents. That is, in the practice of teaching, taking the student development orientedphilosophy, it is a must to highlight the subjectivity of students, to develop a combination ofteaching methods in "cooperative learning" groups and to desigh exercise classes, under thecombination of creaticve teacheng and alternative teaching strategies. Through the teachingpractice of a few weeks, by the exercise test and questionnaire in two ways, the differenteffects between traditional teaching method and group cooperation learning teaching modeare obtaines and it analyzes the cause of this effect. At last,the result is that we must changethe past exercises in troditional model teaching, but cultivate students’ subjectivity, initiative, creativity and cooperation consciousness, so as to completethe three-dimensional objectives, to promote the comprehensive development of students,andto improve their scientific accomplishment.
