Function is involved in the process of middle and high school teaching content. Although the function in the process of teaching studies as a knowledge point, itself and its thinking methods have a profound impact on learning for secondary school mathematics and the further study. It can be said that the function and its idea is the basic tools and theoretical basis of mathematical learning and research.In previous studies, people are from different points of view, using different methods to elaborate on this question. This article is from the high school teaching, based on the " curriculum standards" of junior and senior high school, combining the teaching practice, using cognitive theory, constructivism theory, cognitive development theory and Bloom’s Taxonomy of Educational Objectives, from junior and senior high school students’ problems in the early function convergence process, to analyze the factors which affect these issues, including the students’ cognitive structure, teaching materials, teachers and other factors. Then it puts forward the solving methods and strategies aiming at these problems. In order to close the teaching process, the process according to the order of teaching, divided into three stages, namely pre-class preparation, teaching process, after-school enhancement and evaluation discourse which will correspond factors that affect junior and senior high school function convergence to the three processes.In this paper, two surveys were conducted. The first survey is the investigation of students cognitive and emotional preparation, intended to find out the effects of students learning motivation, learning emotion, learning attitude, learning mode, basic knowledge on junior and senior high school functions converge. The second is after the end of the function chapters, investigation of students’ cognitive condition on the high school mathematics class and function components. The purpose is through the investigation to know students’ convergence and analyze the factors that influence on the convergence.With the deepening of educational reform, junior and senior high school function convergence will continuously produces new problems, and there will also be more educational researchers to solve these problems. Good job of junior and senior high school function convergence is helpful for students to master function knowledge, to improve the efficiency of learning function. It will have a profound impact on students’ mathematical learning.
