Design· application module in the junior high school art materials is a very important module, which focuses on training students’consciousness of design, creative thinking ability, and practical ability. Although it plays such an important role, Design· Application module teaching has not been witnessed as much as other art forms in basic art education. Under such background, the analysis of Design· Application module in the junior high school art materials aims at strengthening its importance in basic art teaching education. This article mainly discusses the teaching situation, its significance, and put forward some suggestions to improve the position of Design· Application module according to the teaching situation.Full text is divided into the following five parts:Part I:Introduction, the author analyzed the phenomenon of specific issues and cases, by arranging the domestic and foreign literature on the subject and analysis the modern situation, and discussed the reason why the Design· Application module is so important.Part II:Junior high school art materials. By contrasting art materials and modules of junior middle school with high school, the author obtained the importance of Design· Application module. The comparative method and inductive deductive method are mainly used in this part.Part III:Education of Design· Application module in junior high school art teaching materials. Based on the analysis of the past and present situation of this module, we obtained the reason why it’s not taken seriously.Part IV:The importance of Design· Application module in the junior high school art textbooks. As the keystone of the article, it mainly describes the cause of taking the Design· Application module seriously, by taking social impact, economy development, and influences upon the individual.Part V:Teaching ideas to Design· Application module in junior high school art textbooks. With the arrangement, research and analysis in the previous section, the author put forward her own teaching idea according to these factors, which Design· Application module is not taken seriously, Conclusion:The author summarizes the analysis of junior high school art materials Design· Application module, foresees the future of Design· Application module development. Finally, the author points out that it’s still a long-term task to evoke people’s attention on the Design· Application module.
