Any thing has both sides, the network game is no exception. But people usually pay attention to its negative influence, and neglect its latent education value; see children indulge in the internet,but didn't notice that network game is also good for developing children's various abilities, perhaps we should think about it from the other aspect: Why the network game has so large attraction to the children. In recent years, some teaching's methods appear continuously along with the game. Some experts and scholars start caring network game and put forward blending the network game and the education together. There are some edutainments that can be used for teaching and study. Because game's creating and teaching are two independent fields, developer lacks in understanding of educational principle seriously, educator lacks developing ability. This is the reason why the game product that can be used for teaching is still satisfying.Along with the new course reforming, the primary school nature course has changed science course. This seems more accurate than nature course. The new course is more open quality, and value training the exploration spirit of the student very much. This is also the characteristics that the network game has. Playing is the children's nature. The network game makes children fascinate. How to put science course and the network game together, design the game that is good for children study in science course, let the children "learn"in playing? In order to find out children's attitude to learning as if they are playing the game, I investigated some pupils very carefully. It is considered to be completely possible according to analyzing.On the basis of learning children, I studied the feature of the game carefully. In this text, I put forward four design principles. That is, developing the game that goes with science course should follow the law of development of a child's cognitive; combine game with education; openness; challenging and competition;these principles can insure the consistency of game in knowledge, education and playing. Now, when the game is developed, modular design is usually used. According to the feature of science course, when the game is designed, four major function modules was stated, which are learning knowledge, appraising system, helping system and exchanging information. They are not independent but connected each other. According to the characteristic of the students and the feature of science course, I stated four basic modes in the text that should be adopted when the game is developed. They are task derivation mode according to PRG, fictitious learning community mode, simulated test mode on the basis of virtual reality and online knowledge contest mode. I described each mode carefully in role system, task system and playing form. Therefore, efficiency of developing game can be increased, and it is easy to amend and improve game. Of course, during developing, the mode we should adopt is determined on the basis of content and form for learning. For example, if we want to examine the learning in a stage, we can use online knowledge contest mode. Of course,these forms can be mixed used in learning.In order to verify the learning effect by use of network game, I developed a kind of typical PRG game according to"Environment and We"in the science course. After analyzing the learning content, I designed the script of game. On the basis of this, I developed the game by use of PRG make xp. At last, I performed a teaching experiment using the game and analyzed the result of experiment. According to a series of analysis and practice, I put forward the principle that designing games about learning should follow and developing modes of games. It was proved that learning by playing is possible. During the practice, we also found some problems that we should think about.Education game is likely to be information technology and the highest form of curriculum integration, but also it is one of developing trends of the future game and education. Its practice is just getting started. It is necessary that game designers, game makers, teachers and so many people worked together, so that the children could learn in the lively and interesting environment.
