With the deepening reform and practice in the new curriculum, the effectiveness of teaching high school elective courses more and more widespread concern. On PEP "cultural study" series of elective courses, one of the "Selected Readings of Early Qin course of study, explained the significance of the curriculum based on two aspects of teaching materials and teaching to start, detailed and in-depth study. I hope, through the study of the subject, can cause enough attention to language teachers, this elective course, and then in-depth study of teaching materials, updating teaching methods, giving students a real basis to strengthen and cultural edification, in order to achieve the purpose of the course opened. The main body of this thesis consists of three parts:The first chapter is the elective courses for the meaning of "Selected Readings of Early Qin". This thesis elaborates the significance of the elective course curriculum, enhances the classical reading ability to appreciate and nurtures the two aspects of the humanistic spirit. On the one hand that the materials include a large number of classical knowledge, contains a heavy ideological and emotional factors, can expand students ’amount of classical reading, and enhance students’classical reading appreciation. On the other hand, in high school language teaching practice, the general phenomenon of the humane, the humanistic spirit of the construction is imminent. Clear the problem, pointing out that the "Selected Readings of Early Qin textbook" contains many of the human spirit factors and their curriculum is an important way to foster a humane spirit. Therefore, the appeal to language teachers as a platform to enhance middle school students humanistic quality to the "Selected Readings of Early Qin course"The second chapter is the "Selected Readings of Early Qin textbooks". Firstly, the text selection system of the teaching materials to help reading system, operating system, a detailed analysis. Secondly, spoke highly of the advantages of the materials selected text, including rich literary factors, health and aesthetic taste, and available educational concept. Meanwhile, the author after the survey visits, pointed out that in the textbook usage on the basis of its inadequacies, the selected text is too great, it is difficult to timely completion of the task of teaching; selected text topics and students’ daily life is missing a meeting point; some of the Table of Contents difficult, does not meet the learning situation; Guidance part of the theory was too strong student interest in reading low, and prepare recommendations for textbook writers to provide practical.The third chapter is the "Selected Readings of Early Qin" teaching and research, the first part of electives pre-Qin Selected Readings and implementation of resistance conducted a detailed study, that the hours arrangements are tight, and difficult to complete the desired objectives; teachers can not grasp the teaching of difficulty degree of difficulty; transfer of knowledge of cultural immersion course to become the medium of instruction; forced to teaching teachers, students passive lectures and other issues outstanding resistance to affect the efficiency of the teaching. The second part called on teachers to start from the learning situation analysis, and effectively improve the efficiency of the "Selected Readings of Early Qin" teaching and learning situation analysis should be noted that issues related to teaching practice, avoid the use of inappropriate teaching new teaching dilemmas.
