The mathematics curriculum standards set forth new ideas, to solve problems and mathematical modeling by the corresponding request, the mathematics application reasonable of the textbooks is to realize the new class of the concept of important measures that can guarantee the students to learn mathematics by solving problem, and to study in the ways and ideas by mathematical modeling.The paper compares the mathematics textbooks between the people’s education press and East China Normal University press of the junior middle school nine grade (second book) one of the two function part of the application settings, and to the three modules" number and Algebra"," geometry and graphics"," probability and statistics" for comparison between the two presses, the conclusion is consistent. The following is the main conclusion of this paper.(1)The People’s Education Press edition in the link of new knowledge introduced, by analogy the learners’ cognitive structure of knowledge, to form contradiction. East China Normal University press edition is more attention from reality, through solving these background problems, introducing new knowledge.(2)While in the process of acquiring the new knowledge, the People’s Education Press edition not only presents application problems, but also put forward more math problems But East China Normal University press edition is completely obtain new knowledge through the solving process to application problem.(3)T he People’s Education Press edition in the links of acquisition, application, strengthening of new knowledge, depend more on the mathematical derivation to obtain new knowledge, But East China Normal University press edition is to set application problems to inspire,and learning new knowledge by solving application problems,(4)The People’s Education Press edition columns basically used to serve to solve math problems, thus in the column can hardly find mathematical application problem (except the special section about application) East China Normal University press edition links the objective world in the column timely, even deepen the new knowledge (for new characters) after the new knowledge has been acquired, and also set mathematical application problem in special column.(5)The open questions by People’s Education Press are mainly set up on the inquiry courses, the types of the open questions are not enough, they have some comprehension. There are16open questions in the textbooks by South China Normal University Press,11more than People’s Education Press, and the open questions are more abundant and designed in different step in the textbooks.
