Along with higher education entered popular period, employment of graduates,especially master graduates is becoming a focus in the society. Master graduatesemployment, is a comprehensive problem, relates to every aspects includes school,individual and the society. This dissertation set a university in Guangzhou asa sample to analyze, using literature research and case research to analyze therelated data of academic master graduates in2000-2010. According to four aspects,employment rate, graduated area flow direction, employed institution flowdirection and employment corresponding rate to analyze the first employment dataof1191academic master graduates. The results found that: analyzing from theoverall employment rate, the whole employment trend of academic master graduatesis going downward in XX university in recent years; analyzing from the employmentarea low direction, there are61.04%academic master graduates employed in thepearl river delta region which is more developed economy; analyzing from theemployment institution flow direction, the trend is flow to centralizationdistributed in state organs, teaching places, scientific research institutes; themaster graduates corresponding rate is62.8%in total, the corresponding rate ofmaster graduates who are majored in arts, mechanics, mechanic engineering,electronic science and technology is100%, while the rate of the students whoare majored in the Chinese literature, mathematics, physics, history, geographyis a litter over50%.Based on analysis of XX University, the author thinks that, the current trendof academic master graduates employment is declining overall in local universities,even the structural unemployment occurs in preliminary. Training university,master graduates individual and the society are the three main factors to affectmaster graduates to employ successfully. Only do the three aspects works together,can boost master graduates of local universities successfully employed to achievehigh-quality allocation of human resources. Local universities, should be adjustedto optimize the structure of the subject construction of master graduates education,training methods and training objectives; master graduates individuals shouldstrongly upgrade their employment competitiveness; government should strengthenthe adjustment and support of macroeconomic policy, including: on the base ofmaintaining the existing size of the academic degrees of local universities, expandthe professional degree scale actively and optimize the structure; establishwarning mechanism of master graduates supply and demand; publish relevant policiesin order to solve the problem of uneven economic development; macro guidance inmaster graduates enrollment size, adjustment of major setting and encourage mastergraduates to start their own businesses and so on.
