Abstract:New high school curriculum reform is sweeping the country, the high school curriculum program developed by the Ministry of Education promulgated the requirements to open a history elective in high school in2004, the requirements to become one of the basic features of the new high school history curriculum reform. With each experimental zone have begun the history curriculum reform, high school history of exploration and practice of elective has become increasingly important. How to set up a good history elective, avoidance and settlement of the creation of the difficulties and problems encountered in the process of history elective to reach and achieve the objectives and requirements of the history curriculum standards, has become the urgent problem of the new curriculum high school history reform.Commenced brewing in this context of the main open interviews, informal conversations, field investigation of combining research methods, focus on investigating and high school history elective opened and implementation of the current situation and existing problems through the survey interview, the reason to understand and master the high school history elective courses for the various difficulties faced in the implementation process, the analysis of these problems and gives a comprehensive reference and recommendations. The paper consists of four components.Firstly, start from the Introduction to the specific elaboration about the basic knowledge of the elective courses, including the meaning of meaning, characteristics, and study the past, the situation of the opening of the domestic history elective, and the existence of which problems. The cut followed the article to which the new history curriculum standards promulgated by the go, analyze the history of elective modules in the curriculum standards and specific requirements. Finally, through a questionnaire issued, take the survey results, interviews finishing methods, and processing analysis of the raw data obtained from the survey and investigation schools, find their lack of points, to explore these problems and the causes of insufficient, and draw a comprehensive conclusions put forward reasonable proposals that must be noted that in the future and continue to work towards.
