Close reading has been neglecting in prose teaching in the period of senior high school, compared with poetry, novel and drama. As a positive and effective method, close reading also plays an important role in prose teaching. Similar thinking is a significant way of knowing our natural world. It is reflected generally in the prose. Multiage and multiaspect close reading with similar thinking can arouse similar experience of students, contributing to overall, objective and deep acquaintance on text, which is the same with the ideas in the New Course Standard that emphasizes exploration and innovation.This paper sorts out the source, development and change of relevant close reading at home and abroad, after that, it reflects seriously on the current status of the prose teaching in senior high school. Through using the domestic prose research and writing research results for reference, with teaching practice in high school prose, this paper puts forward close reading on prose text according to similar thinking. The introduction of the paper focuses on discussion and analysis of present research situation; The first chapter defines several related concept to the paper topic, the second chapter reawake the meaning and function of close reading in prose teaching through analysis and reflection, The third and fourth chapter is the key of full text, it will carry similar thinking into close reading by the analysis and reflection to prose teaching. Firstly, this paper makes analysis and explanation to relevant content with similar thinking, then in the fourth chapter, the paper will analyse specific class examples in order to achieve the combination between theory and teaching practice.
